Land Owners? Yes, that’s us. I don’t know about the rest of the members, but I don’t feel any different. Should I?

Well, nothing much has changed at the club and that really should be viewed as a plus. Our anonymous loan-provider was keen to maintain the enjoyment level at the club and I think that is what is happening.

Social events through the summer continue to channel funds into our account and the treasurer continues to funnel them back out again. It has been agreed that the loan is repaid in chunks of £5,000 a time. This system reduces admin costs for all concerned and means that such a payment has a significant impact on the outstanding amount.

Only three months have passed since we started repaying the loan so it is probably too early to quote figures and projections, more of that later in the summer. Suffice to say that we have started and we are gathering pace! With the support of all members, we will repay this loan and hopefully move onto our next project.

Mark has passed on the donations figure so far. We have raised

£5,100

But we have returned a total of £12,000 to the benefactor, using £6,900 already in Club funds to reach this amount.

Just £34,900 to go then!
