Mudeford Sailing Club

editorial, by mike roach

Many thanks to all our contributors for this issue.

Ali Reeves hides the despair of all runners who run a marathon knowing that they have not been able to do enough miles, but feel committed to completing the task they have set themselves, injured or not. Andy Williams also completed his marathon and is selling his Laser. The two are not connected!

Mike Goodman gives us a light-hearted view of sailing round the Island in very mixed company. How easily they could all have been shouting at each other, but as you will see, having a dog on board helps keep things in perspective. Nothing is nicer to a dog than a supper eaten three times, apparently...

Christine Wright gives us her take on Minorca sailing but gives as strong a hint as you like that the “Derek’s Wreck” award will not be hers this year.

Finally, Mark Farrant keeps us up to date on the fundraising front. Still a long way to go, it seems…

Mudeford Week is not far away: please print off and complete the form on the website and return it to the Ed.

Mike
