Mudeford Sailing Club

GALLEY -  2009

Welcome to our very smart new galley this year.  Various members have been very active over the winter and into spring sorting it all out for our new sailing season. It has now been inspected, so it’s business as usual.  Thank goodness.

Thank you to those members who have already promised to help this year, plus of course those who have already done a stint (or two). 

Don’t worry if I haven’t contacted you yet – I shall be doing so very soon!

As you know by now, our efforts are very much appreciated by sailors, safety crew, members and visitors, and of course the revenue forms a large part of our fund-raising. As in previous years, the OODs bring in a contribution to the galley and there are some ‘family run duties’.  The idea is that our members all share in the various duties of the Club.

If any of our newer members would like to help, please get in touch with me – I will team you up with someone who knows the ropes. It’s good fun and a good way to meet everyone.

Mudeford Week (Saturday 8^th – Friday 14^th August):  I will be arranging this roster in due course.  If any of you have a particular day of the week when you’re able to help, please let me know. We do need quite a few volunteers each day to man the galley.  It gets quite hectic – all those hungry competitors!
