Hi Everyone,

We are living through very exciting times in the history of Mudeford Sailing Club. By owning the harbour bed under the barge and trots we are securing our future into perpetuity. We can no longer be the butt of jokes from other clubs on the harbour, we are now a force to be reckoned with, we are a club with a future. Mudeford Sailing Club has always been "special" even though we have not owned anything lasting until now. By owning the harbour bed and the possibilities that brings, we are guarenteeing being able to offer our uniqueness to future generations of sailors. How exciting is that!

We thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this purchase possible. We particularly thank Mark Gardener and Peter Nicholson who have done all the negotiating with Bournemouth and West Hants Water, Harry McKeown who has tirelessly worked on the legal side and our "benefactor" who has put up the money and whom we must begin to repay as soon as possible.

There will be lots of schemes afoot to raise money to cover the cost of purchase and I hope we will support these to the best of our ability. All current members need to have a stake in the future of the club.
