Sail Training Sessions at Mudeford Sailing Club
During the season, usually on Saturdays when the wind and tide allow, we organise Sail Training Sessions from the Club on Fisherman’s Bank. Less experienced sailors of all age groups are welcome to join in - these are the calendar dates.

These sessions are run by our more experienced dinghy sailors, on a voluntary basis. We do not classify ourselves as a Sailing School.
The aims of the sessions are to improve boat handling skills and to guide newcomers into the sport of dinghy racing, and rule observance.
When children are involved parents, or guardians, are requested to play an active role in assisting with the sessions.
(A child protection guidance policy and procedures is available upon request).
Safety is a priority and in consequence it is mandatory that anyone involved in the session should wear a buoyancy aid, of at least 50N capacity, before taking part.
The Club has two Optimist, three Topper and two Laser sailing dinghies available for its use, plus a small number of buoyancy aids. These can be used during our Training Sessions, for a modest contribution towards Club funds and the maintenance of the boats.
Please consult the Racing Diary for the dates, and times, of the sessions.
