JUST A FEW POINTS PLEASE! Mudeford SC is unusual in a number of respects, and your visit to us will be much more enjoyable if you know about them before you arrive. A sketch map below explains the geography.
Access is limited to people on foot and boats on trolleys only. All car parking must be done on the roads round the cricket green. For this event, trailers only may be parked in the driveway of The Charthouse, by permission of Sean and Alison Hinde. Access to the water is via Argyle Road. Marshalls will direct you to rig on the right hand side of the road.
The Club itself is a Dutch Barge moored adjacent to Stride’s Yard. It has a galley and (very) limited changing facilities but no washing or toilets. The nearest public toilet is at the corner of Mudeford and Ledbury way.
Christchurch Harbour is shallow (and thus very safe - you can stand on the bottom and breath fresh air except at high sprngs) and very tidal. For the Laser event, you will be able to launch from the slipways and sail to the Club trot lines from about 0945 onwards and return no later than 1600.
