Junior sailors are very welcome at the Club and have special training and racing arrangements made by the Captain of Juniors, Please remember that the Club is not a creche! Juniors are to be accompanied by an adult to assist if necesary with rigging, etc. Parents are encouraged to take a full part in the training and racing scene as assistants, helpers and safety cover. The more experienced Juniors are encouraged to race with the Slow Fleet in all our racing. We find that Optimists often beat Lasers on handicap! Generally speaking, a well-sailed Oppi will do 2 laps to a Laser’s 3, making the mid-race break a family occasion.

	27th July Muster for rigging 1330 for on the water at 1400. Off the water no later than 1700 5th August Muster for rigging 0930 for on the water at 1000. Off the warter no later than 1300 21st August Muster for rigging 0930 for on the water at 1000. Off the water no later than 1300 26th August Muster for rigging 1330 for on the water 1400. Off the water no later than 1700

Christchurch Harbour Winter Junior Race Training

Aims to bring together junior racing sailors for structured race training.

This will be for sailors with racing experience wishing to improve their racing skills.
Bearing in mind this is a Winter activity, sailors must wear a minimum of a full wetsuit, gloves and hat.
To be hosted by Highcliffe Sailing Club, with support from Christchurch and Mudeford Sailing Club members.
Cost per session £2, to cover fuel, food (warm or cold snack + drink) and prizes.
Qualified/Experienced coaches will be used with safety cover.
Open to under 16’s in junior classes e.g. Cadet, Laser, Topper, Optimist
Facility will be made to tie up boats at HSC
Assuming we have a minimum of 3 participants each session will be run, if the weather is not suitable for sailing a sailing related indoor activity will be run.
